Woke Ben & Jerry’s Accused of Using Labor of Illegals’ Kids

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) Ben & Jerry’s, an ice cream company that is currently more known to the public for pushing its far-left politics down people’s throats rather than its product, is facing a class action lawsuit because its supply chain employs children of illegal immigrants.

The plaintiff, Dovid Tyrnauer, said that he would not have purchased or would have paid less for Ben & Jerry’s products if he knew in advance that the company uses the labor of illegal immigrants’ children. According to Tyrnauer, the brand aligning itself with ethically-sourced products is a “breach of consumer trust” that amounts to “pompous virtue-signaling,” the Daily Caller reported.

The lawsuit was filed after the New York Times reported on major U.S. companies that exploit child labor. According to the newspaper, the labor of illegal immigrants’ kids is used to process milk in Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

“If migrant children needed to work full time, it was preferable for them to have jobs at a well-monitored workplace,” Cheryl Pinto, Ben & Jerry’s head of values-led sourcing, said.

Following the report, Ben & Jerry’s released a statement.

“We are deeply concerned by the claims made in this story, and do not tolerate any suppliers who are not adhering to the law,” the company wrote.

“Let us be extremely clear: Ben & Jerry’s stands in strong opposition to child labor. We have a long history of standing for justice and equity, and using our business to improve the lives and livelihoods of those we serve and work with.”

“These beliefs do not stop at our company’s supply chain,” the company added.

The class action lawsuit also states that the company uses the so-called “social justice issues” as part of its marketing….

The company also became infamous for making limited ice creams for the so-called “social justice issues” such as “Change Is Brewing” for defunding/abolishing the police departments in 2021, “Pecan Resist” to protest against Donald Trump in 2019 and “Empower Mint” for the fake voter suppression in 2016 that the Swamp and the mainstream media has been pushing since Hillary Clinton lost. The most recent virtue signaling from the brand happened in 2023 when it promoted the “mission to end modern slavery in cocoa farming”.
