Hate Crime Hoaxer Vandalized Own Car; Charged with Felony Fraud

(Rebel News) A new hate crime hoax has surfaced in Buffalo, New York, and is one of a number in a string of hoaxes following the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Clifton Eutsey, 18, claims to have been a victim of a hate crime with his BMW X5 spray-painted with homophobic and racist slurs, including the N-word and a series of anti-Black Lives Matter messages. In addition, the alleged perpetrator spraypainted a message supportive of President Donald Trump and the letters “KKK.” The alleged perpetrator also put sugar in the purported victim’s gas tank.

Following reports of the apparent hate crime, WGRZ reported that it reached out to the Erie County Republican officials requesting comment due to the message in support of President Trump.

In the month following the initial story, which made local media headlines, Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced that Eutsey is now being charged with multiple crimes in relation to the alleged hate crime.

WGRZ reported that Eutsey was charged with:

● Insurance Fraud in the Third Degree, a Class “D” felony

● Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the Second Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor

● Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor

● Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor

Eutsey faces up to 7 years in prison for the crimes and is set to report to court on January 11, 2021. He has since posted bail and was released from bail following his arrest.
