Democrat Donor Arrested for Igniting Fire Blamed on Climate Change

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Prosecutors in Arizona have arrested Edward Fredick Wackerman, a donor to the Democratic Party and Lincoln Project, for allegedly igniting what law enforcement officials called a “ginormous inferno.”

High-profile Democratic officials, without evidence, blamed climate change for the fire, which occurred in Yosemite National Park in July 2022. According to The Washington Free Beacon, the fire quickly spread over 30 square miles, engulfing several areas and resulting in the destruction of 127 homes, 66 outbuildings, and injures to several firefighters.

“Ed Wackerman is facing several felony charges, including aggravated arson,” said Walter Wall, the Maricopa County District Attorney of the charges. “These charges carry serious legal consequences and the District Attorney is committed to ensuring a fair trial and upholding justice.”

The Maricopa DA declined to provide details on how the Democrat ignited the fire. “Currently, the investigation is under review by our office,” Wall added. “Due to the sensitive nature of the case and the rights of the defendant, we cannot disclose anything other than what has been released in the Cal Fire press release.”

Wackerman’s alleged arson led to the evacuation of approximately 6,000 individuals. According to records from the Federal Election Commission, Wackerman is an avid supporter of the Democratic Party, having donated $1,775 to Democratic candidates since 2020. The Free Beacon first reported Wackerman’s connections to Democrats.

The accused Democrat gave $1,000 to Tim Ryan’s unsuccessful senatorial campaign and blessed the infamous Lincoln Project with a $400 check.

Democrats and climate change alarmists seized upon the alarming fire as evidence of global warming. But an investigation led to Wackerman’s arrest on Friday. He now faces charges of aggravated arson.

In July 2022, Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., took to Twitter to use the fire as evidence to demand action against climate change. “Worsening drought and severe weather will only continue to put lives and property at risk from wildfire if we don’t take climate action NOW,” an alarmist Padilla claimed.

Echoing Padilla, former Vice President Al Gore said, “More people will be killed and the survival of our civilization is at stake.”
