(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Democrats are setting the stage for a spike in gas prices, using the potential conflict with Russia as a scapegoat, trying to deflect attention from the disastrous results President Joe Biden‘s policies are creating domestically.
“When America stands for her principles and all of the things that we hold dear, it requires sometimes for us to put ourselves out there in a way that maybe we will incur some cost,” Harris said. “And in this situation, that may relate to energy costs, for example.”
News pundits for the left-wing, such as PBS anchor Yamiche Alcindor, have also implied that this will be the case:
“The thing you hear President Biden saying is that Americans need to be prepared if this comes to our shores… in the form of higher gas prices,” Alcindor said in a NBC interview. “… If we have to get involved here the cost of freedom may be in your wallets at the gas tank.”
Both Biden and White House press secretary Jen Psaki have made similar statements.
Larry Behrens, communications director for Power the Future, an energy non-profit, is of the mind that Biden’s use of the administrative state to overstep the government’s legal authority villainized domesetic producers:
“American families are suffering under crippling inflation caused by Biden’s energy policies and it’s clear the president will continue to focus anywhere but himself,” Behrens said.
