Soros Insists He Isn’t to Blame for Rise in Violent Crime

(Jacob BrunsHeadline USA) Global financial oligarch George Soros claimed that the rise in violent crime across America’s cities is completely unconnected to his funding of woke, social justice-pushing district attorneys in those cities, according to a Wall Street Journal op-ed

In his editorial, “Why I Support Reform Prosecutors” subtitled, “Justice or safety? It’s a false choice. They reinforce each other,” Soros argued that his pushing of criminal justice reform in cities has nothing to do with the subsequent violence that invariably follows.

And he does not intend to stop anytime soon.

“I have supported the election (and more recently the re-election) of prosecutors who support reform. I have done it transparently, and I have no intention of stopping,” he wrote.

“The funds I provide enable sensible reform-minded candidates to receive a hearing from the public. Judging by the results, the public likes what it’s hearing.”

The far-leftist oligarch also suggested that he is simply doing what the American people want to be done.

“This agenda, aiming at both safety and justice, is based on both common sense and evidence. It’s popular. It’s effective.”

Despite his funding of radical district attorneys, Soros distanced himself from those who lead the defund the police movement.

“The goal is not defunding the police but restoring trust between the police and the policed, a partnership that fosters the solving of crimes,” he wrote.

Nonetheless, Soros’ actions speak louder than his words on the matter.

Soros has spent tens of millions of dollars ensuring DA candidates who support abolishing bail, defunding the police, and decriminalizing certain offenses make it into office.

Several of the Soros-backed prosecutors have been under fire as crime rages out of control under their failing watch.

Of particular note are Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and Los Angeles County DA George Gascon, both of whom have allowed their once-great city to crumble and are facing recall efforts.

San Francisco residents overwhelming voted to oust radical, Soros-backed DA Chesa Boudin earlier this year, after his so-called social justice reforms turned the city into a pit of violent crime, rampant drug dealing, vandalism, home invasions and homelessness.
