Public Backlash Pounding Soros-Funded District Attorneys as Crime Soars

(Molly BrunsHeadline USA) Leftist prosecutors in Democrat-run cities across the country are facing backlash for their soft-on-crime policies, after being bought into office with massive funding from billionaire globalist George Soros.

Soros has spent tens of millions of dollars ensuring DA candidates who support abolishing bail, defunding the police and decriminalizing certain offenses make it into office, according to Just the News.

Several of the Soros-backed prosecutors have been under fire as crime rages out of control under their failing watch, including Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.

The Pennsylvania state House formed a bipartisan committee to investigate rampaging crime in the Philadelphia area. The committee will subpoena witnesses and documents from Krasner’s office, and will make evidence-based recommendations to impeach the DA.

Pennsylvania does not have recall elections.

Under Krasner’s leadership, the number of murders in Philadelphia rose from 353 in 2018 to 562 in 2021, a record-breaking figure; 2022 homicide totals are tracking closely with 2021 numbers. Additionally, violent crime in the city has risen by 8% and property crime has soared by 30%.

In response to the violence, the city’s politicians have established a 10 p.m. curfew for kids under the age of 18, but the police are unable to fine children when they are found out past curfew. According to the mandate, officers must make “every reasonable effort” to take them home.

Another Soros-backed prosecutor facing backlash is Los Angeles County DA George Gascon, who is the target of a recall attempt to remove him from office. 715,833 signatures have been submitted to a petition to recall Gascon.

“We remain confident that the recall will qualify for the ballot,” Recall Gascon Campaign cochair Kathy Cady said. “Gascon’s policies violate the law. He is an abysmal leader with 98% of prosecutors voting to support the recall.

“His unlawful hiring and promotion actions will result in millions of dollars to settle lawsuits,” she said.

Several cities in Los Angeles County have issued a vote of no confidence in Gascon, who has overseen a surge in robberies and homicides. Cities such as St Louis, Chicago, San Francisco and more are facing similar controversies surrounding their district attorneys and their own crime sprees.

Indeed, with Gascon facing a likely recall election, many pundits are predicting he will suffer the same fate as former San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin. Voters last month soundly booted the leftist, Soros-backed Boudin from office after suffering from the crime spikes facilitated by his policies.

“George Gascon and Chesa Boudin’s failed social experiments have destroyed communities while doing nothing to meaningfully reform the system,” stated the Gascon recall campaign after Boudin’s ouster.
