(New York Post) The NYPD released a close-up surveillance image Friday of the man wanted forĀ randomly attacking actor Rick MoranisĀ on the Upper West Side.
The unidentified suspect pictured in the photo, which was taken from inside a city subway station, is seen wearing a black āI ā¤ NYā sweatshirt with the hood on, a backpack, and a black face mask covering his mouth.
Moranis, 67, was walking south on Central Park West near West 70th Street ā steps from his apartment building ā around 7:30 a.m. Thursday when a thug suddenly clocked him in the head, knocking him to the ground, police said.
The unprovoked attack was also caught on surveillance video, previously released by police. In it, the suspect can be seen slugging Moranis before calmly walking off.
A rep for Moranis confirmed to The Post Friday that the largely reclusive āHoney I Shrunk the Kidsā and āGhostbustersā star was the victim of the assault.
