Florida Cross Dresser Arrested for $1.5 Million Smash-and-Grab

(CBS12) The man accused of being behind two smash-and-grab robberies at one high-end bag store is now under arrest.

Palm Beach police had said Damian Ricketts uses multiple aliases and dresses in both men’s and women’s clothing.

Friday morning, he was found and arrested in New York, with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

Ricketts was wanted for breaking into Only Authentics on Worth Avenue twice in December. The second event happened on Christmas morning.

Police said he got away with approximately 17 luxury handbags worth about $1.5 million.

Now, they say, “We are eager to see his extradition to Palm Beach County so that he can answer for his crimes.”
